The Talbot County Health Department and the University of Maryland Training Center are pleased to bring Motivational Interviewing for Peer Recovery Specialists to you.

What is Motivational Interviewing Training?

This training is designed to introduce participants to Motivational Interviewing (MI) tools and techniques to use with individuals seeking recovery. We will discuss how MI principles can assist the peer recovery specialist in their multi-fqceted role. Demonstrations, videos and role plays will be a part of our day together.

When- June 12, 2019

Time- 8:30 am.-4:30 pm. Registration starts at 8:30 am. and class starts promptly at 9am.

Where- The Neilson Building, 205 North Liberty Street, Centerville, MD 21617

If you arrive late and/or leave early, you will not receive a certificate.

This training is approved by MABPCB, Maryland Addictions and Behavioral-health Professionals Certification Board, which is the peer credentialing board in Maryland. This training will provide 6 CEUs in Wellness/Recovery Domain.
